Glean Golden Fruit Pickers

The Glean Golden program is a new initiative focused on connecting fruit tree owners with a free picking service. We’re seeking folk who are eager to help us divert local fruit to local tables, which would other wise go to waste, As part of this program, volunteers come together in the late summer and fall seasons to gather surplus apples from registered backyard orchards within the community.

Beyond simply harvesting fruit, Glean Golden offers a platform for people to connect and work toward a common goal of minimizing food waste and building local food sovereignty. It's an opportunity to not only contribute to a sustainable food system but also to meet like-minded individuals who share a passion for community involvement and environmental stewardship. So, whether you're a seasoned fruit picker or simply looking for a meaningful way to get involved, Glean Golden provides a fulfilling experience that celebrates both the abundance of Golden’s local food landscape, and the strength of community bonds.
