VENDOR OF THE WEEK:
Aaron Enns Art and Guiding
Garlic and Gardening too 😉
Aaron has been a gardener for 20 years and has taken several Permaculture design courses. Aaron is interested in creating a sustainable local food system.
Aaron focuses on growing and providing naturally grown without pesticides and herbicides, as naturally as possible. He grows and sells 4 varieties: Music, Nootka, Rose/Chesnook Red/ and Goat River. Aaron's garlic often keeps for over a year because he slow dries (cure) his garlic with the tops and roots on for a premium product. He also creates beautiful garlic braids too. In addition to his garlic, Aaron also brings a variety of greens from kale, swiss chard, and peas.
In addition to gardening, Aaron has been a artist since he was a kid, studied at Emily Carr College of Art and Design, he's also been putting more serious effort into his art for the last 10 years.
You will notice his art reflects his life as a mountain adventurer. Drawing inspiration from guiding backcountry ski touring in the winter and hiking and mountain biking in the summer.
His most popular items to sell are block prints, garlic braids, matted prints of acrylic paintings, custom designed and printed trucker hats and up cycled hand printed shirts.
This summer Aaron participated in both Saturday and Wednesday farmers markets. You can continue to find him at the Wednesday markets from 12-5.
