When should one arrive for setting-up?
A. Usually an hour or hour and a half before the market begins.

Do I need a business license to attend, how much?
A. Yes, you need a Town of Golden Business License for the summer season. New vendors can participate in up to two markets before a town licence is required.

How much are table fees?
A. $30.00, & for full-time vendors paying in advance for the entire season you'll receive 1 free market. or $35 with vehicle spot.

Can table fees be paid each market or prepaid for the season? Fees are required to be prepaid for the summer market dates prior to you attending the market.
What is a vendor member?
A. All vendors are required to pay $12 membership fee yearly to participate in the GFM.

Do I need my own table/chairs/tent?
A.Yes at all markets you must provide your own equipment. You are also responsible for securing your tent with weights.

How large are vendor stall spaces?
A.10x10 feet, If you require more room you must pay an additional table fee, & only if we have the space availlable. This must be arranged prior to the market season.

Are vendor spots assigned?
A.Full-time vendors get seniority on their locations, part-time or drop in vendors will be assigned open locations and directed on site. This may change weekly as we cannot guarantee regular spots for part-time or drop in vendors.

Should one bring weights, tie downs, spikes?
A. Absolutely, even the slightest breeze can wreak havic and blow items around, potentially causing damage or injury. Unpredictable winds have happned so bring weights for tents, tiedowns for display, spikes if you're on the grass, side walls etc.

Is there electrical?

Do I need insurance?
A.Insurance is required, you can find links to the BCAFM vendor insurance program on our Additional info and links page. The market insurance does not cover individual vendors or injury/illness of a customer from your product or booth space.

If selling food, what is considered high risk/low risk? https://bcfarmersmarket.org/health-safety/ MarketSafe Food safety course is recommended at a minimum for food vendors.
Can I leave the market early if I sell-out?
A.No, as it disrupts the market and can be a safety concern, you can leave your tent & table etc. and return at the end of market to pack it away.

Can I sell my products before market hours? No this is in violation of market rules and you must wait for start time.
Can I bring my dog to the market? Dogs on leash are allowed. If a dog causes issues, such as fights with other dogs, pees on vendor supplies you will be asked to leave.
What if I cannot make the market and have to cancel my spot? 48 hours is required to provide notice to cancel, if less time is given than 48 hours the vendor is responsible for paying the vendor fee.
What determins vendor seniority? Vendor seniority is a vendor who participates in 5+ GFM per year.
